Caring and Sharing of South Santa Rosa County wishes to thank both Gulf Breeze H.S. and Navarre H.S. for their schools spirit and support in sponsoring the “Fourth Annual Caring and Sharing Beach Soup Bowl Cup” food collection this fall football season.  During the specified time-frame, both schools marketed to their schools and community with the results coming in as the rival schools played their end of season match up on November 7, 2014.  Caring and Sharing awarded the traveling trophy once again to the NHS principle and SGA Sponsor for collecting 4,192 food cans and nonperishable items compared to GBHS 2,554 completion.  “The schools challenge and food drive program is a hunger-defeating success for the 200 families who qualified and requested support this holiday season,” stated Ann Thompson, Caring and Sharing President.  All aiding food items donated by both schools will be put towards food boxes organized and distributed to Caring and Sharing clients during Thanksgiving Distribution to be held November 21-23, 2014.  The program was created after the Publix Beach Bowl traveling cup, which honorably highlights football players athleticism and positive sports competition, a program measured in character in a 100 yard radius.  Similarly, Caring and Sharing Beach Soup Bowl has helped to create awareness of the need to feed families right here in South Santa Rosa County backyards and inspires students with the gift of giving to help others during the holiday season.
